1 JANUARY 1999 euro becomes "bank" currency 1 JANUARY 2002 go into circulate euro coins and bank-notes and old ones are withdown. 1 JULY 2002 bank-notes and coins in liras stop to have legal course.
THE CHOICE OF THE COINS
More of the Countries which will adopt Euro, decided to "divide" into 3 groups the new currency: ¨the first band'll be in twometals ( and 2 euro ) ¨ the second band'll be in metal (10,20 and 50 hundredth) ¨ the third band'll be in copper

Euro will be available in metallic coins
of 1,2,5,10,20,50 hundredth and of 1 and 2 euro and in bank-notes of
5,10,20,50,100,200 and 500 euro.
The Bank-notes will be all the same in the
whole euro area, while the coins will have national at the bock of closenty
every state member.
